, it is safe to say that one of my main motivations for live part time in Thailand is the availability and affordability of the meals prepared by someone other than me. ‘National disaster’ seems not to cover everything a past that included the Fire Department being summoned during an attempt to boil macaroni in the Cayman Islands, self-induced poisoning of intercontamination beans to the Panama and a long history of identifies mistakenly cucumbers and Zucchini everywhere.
but just as my palate has slowly expanded, so too has my interest in the field of cooking. Over time, I have to be interested in eating a little healthier and a little more naturally and it’s the curiosity to know what is happening in your diet and the desire to be able to change it. It was a slow trip. Fortunately, I continue to dating men who like to feed me.
Ian got the love of food from his parents. And so when they came to us visit on Koh Tao, we knew it was the perfect time to check out one of the island, cooking classes. Then there are just a few available on the island, most are occasional cases that can be arranged upon request in the popular restaurants on the island. There isn’t a single cooking school formal with a dedicated training space, take home menu publishes brochures and custom embroidered aprons that are the hallmark of cooking through the Thailand schools, even if it comes with laid-back punch of Koh.
quarrels our friend Janine to join us for emotional support extra slash chop mentoring, our group of five came down to school afternoon around noon.
certainly allow at least a class such as this replacement one meal. If there is one thing I learned from my last cooking class in Chiang Mai Thai, it is to avoid eating for anywhere up to a week in advance. (Not that I’m actually advice – I don’t remember the last time I went more than three hours without food that does not involve sleep or hospitalization.)
our fearless leader Mo and his deputies walked us through the motions to make a jump, a spring roll, and a curry, which everyone ate as it has been established. As you can see, some of the ingredients, we used was a surprise.
I was surprised to see a full schedule of classes on the wall – Mo guard very busy! If you come in high season, it might be useful to book to book your space on the slab of the chopper.
Koh Tao is Koh Tao, I was very impressed by the facilities, we used. However, it is still a tiny island thirteen thousand square where life moves a few steps slower than elsewhere in Thailand, so don’t expect the formality or the Tourism Organization on a large scale in cities like Bangkok or Chiang Mai, cooking schools.
expect to have a laugh and leave full, however.
in the past, there was little absolute zilch to do in Koh Tao, when it rained, believe me, I’ve been hosting and heartbroken over the weeks with no Sun! I love Koh Tao of cooking class offers an option for something to do when the weather is not exactly beachy.
1200 baht, it is certainly many times more than your average meal of Koh Tao, but it’s also one or two hours of entertainment. When we asked, the time of class, we were offered were from 10:00-13:00, 13:00-15:30 and 16:00 – 19:00
